Dressed Stone Single-Storey Workshop (4mm OO / OO9)
Bring Victorian industry to your layout
This single-storey dressed stone workshop adds instant character to any OO or OO9 scene. Deeply textured stonework, a slate-tiled roof and a distinctive roof-vent cupola capture the look of a small rural or light-railway workshop. The tall arched windows and proportions hint at chapel architecture, reflecting the Victorian belief in the sanctity of labour.
Feature-packed resin model
4mm scale (OO / OO9) – ideal for standard-gauge yards or narrow-gauge lines
Detailed sliding door that clip along its beam, so you can pose it open, closed or partly ajar
Ridge-mounted air vent / cupola for that classic steam-era workshop silhouette
Deep-relief stone walls that take washes and dry-brushing beautifully
Tall, arched windows with fine lattice detail for realistic shadows and light spill
Dimensions
Length: 15 cm
Width: 6 cm
Height: 10 cm
Compact enough for a small scene, but substantial enough to act as a focal point in a yard or quarry.
Perfect for…
Loco or wagon repair shops
Estate or industrial railway workshops
Quarry, mine or slate-works buildings
Goods-yard ancillary structures
Rural industries
Construction & finish
This model is 3D printed in high-quality UV-cured resin and supplied unpainted. The roof, cupola and sliding door are supplied assembled as shown in the photos. Interior detailing is left to you, making it a great base for super-detailing projects.
Modeller’s tip: Use a dark wash to pick out the mortar lines, then dry-brush with lighter greys and buff tones. A touch of soot or rust around the air vent and door hardware really brings the workshop to life.
What’s included
1 × resin workshop building
Sliding door mounted on runner
Roof with vent / cupola fitted
Skill level
Recommended for adult hobbyists and modellers. Not a toy.
