O16.5 / NG7 Mainline Hunslet

£60.00

This is a model inspired by the Mainline Hunslet loco “Charles” which was built in 1882 for the Penrhyn Quarry Railway. It’s a similar design to Linda and Blanche that you can see on the Ffestiniog Railway but a few details are different.

This model is designed to fit the Hornby Chassis supplied with the 0-4-0ST “Smokey Joe” or the Holden 101 loco, with some modifications (which can be done with a craft knife). Unlike the prototype, this model doesn’t have outside frames, and you’ll need to buy the chassis and couplings separately.

Assembly is simple, once the chassis is modified, it clips into the body and is secured with a screw. The cab interior and roof is fitted separately (to make painting easier). The model will need to be painted, although I’ve included photos to show what it can look like.

You’ll also need to supply couplings. The model is designed to take NEM 362 couplings.
